REMAX and ACE skate to wins

ACE 6 TRIA 3

A 2-0 deficit was erased by ACE as they controlled their way to a 6-3 win in Celly League action.  Addi Scribner (SCSU) had 2g-1a for a 3 point night to lead her team to the win.  Kiana Roeske (MSU) had 2 assists and was key to the transition game and controlled possession for the ACE win on Thursday night from Braemar Arena.  


UST’s Cara Sajevic had 2 goals and her teammate Ella Boerger added 2 assists in the game. 

TRIA’s Lauren Zawoyski (MSU) had two assists with her team spreading the goal scoring among three different players.  

Kaitlin Groess (BSU) turned aside 10 of 11 ACE shots to open the game and stood out in goal.  Picking up the win for ACE (1-1)in goal was Dani Strom (UST) who stopped 13 of 16 TRIA shots while playing all 60 minutes.  


TRIA had their record leveled at 1-1. 


REMAX 7  TRADITION MORTGAGE 2

REMAX Advantage Plus opened the season with an empathic 7-2 win over Tradition Mortgage.  St. Cloud State 5th year senior Brieja Parent had a pair of goals and an assist to pace the win.  She played her last three years at the University of St. Thomas and will close out her college career in St. Cloud. 


Sam Broz (Brown) also had 3 points with a goal and two assists for REMAX.  Haley Maxwell (UST) was right at home in her home rink of Braemar Arena and had 2 assists.  12 different players factored in the scoring for REMAX in what was a balanced attack. Oftentimes teams tend to start the Celly League slow, especially in the first half.  That wasn’t the case tonight. 


REMAX opened with two goals in the first and buried five more in the second half.  Annika Lavender (St. Michael’s) made 21 saves while playing all 60 minutes to earn the win.  


Tradition’s Maddie Morgan (Brown) had two assists while Meredith Killian and Maya Jones each scored goals. The loss dropped Tradition to 0-2 on the campaign. 


The Celly League is off the 4th of July week and will resume action at Braemar Arena with a pair of games on July 9th.  Their sister Dangle League will open play on July 11th from Braemar Arena.
